Born on the West side of Detroit, Michigan. Rick started playing bass guitar at the early age of twelve years old. Influenced by early stars like: “Eric Burton and the animals”, the “Beatles”, the Motown sound, The “Cream”, just to name a few. Rick has his own style of playing the bass guitar. With years of performing live, with great Detroit bands such as, “Tears of fire”, “Curtis Hyflash”, “The Look” (Were gonna rock), “Artist” (1983 National Rock to Riches winning band beating out 35,000 entries nation wide). Rick has made a name for himself in the Detroit area as a solid rock hard bass player. Rick is self taught, and learned how to play the bass by picking with his fingers. No pick, he has incredible speed and rhythm. All drummers love jamming with a bass player like Rick. He keeps the backbone of the songs together. Rick Vuk, and Eddie Leighton, and John Fain, have played together in a number of bands since their junior high schools days. Rick is a excellent showman, and has years of experience at live, and studio performances.
